Sperm concentration (sperm count) is measured in millions of sperm per millilitre of ejaculate (million/ml). The test will tell you whether the sperm concentration in the test sample is below 0.5 million/ml (negative test) or above 0.5 million/ml (positive test). The World Health Organisation standard for a fertile male is above 20 million/ml
